Eddy is a Co-Founder & Partner of Koontree. He has over 20 years of global finance and investment experience. 

Prior to founding the firm, he had over 14-year career at Temasek, a global investment company headquartered in Singapore with a portfolio value of over US$290 billion. He was a Managing Director responsible for leading Temasek’s investment across Southeast Asia region, covering direct private investments, listed equities and funds across diverse industry sectors such as, digital platform, consumer, F&B services, financial, real estate, logistics, and renewable power. 

He held various leadership roles over the years at Temasek including Staff Officer to the CEO of Temasek International and played a key role in developing Temasek’s global energy investment strategy.

Before joining Temasek, Eddy was a Vice President at Lombard Investments, a private equity firm. He started his career as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch Phatra where he advised large Thai corporates on M&A, IPO and debt restructuring.

Eddy currently serves as an independent director and/or advisors to various businesses including VNG Corporation (Vietnam’s leading technology platform), Impact Electron Siam (a regional renewable power developer), Whitetail Asia (credit investment fund), and Ross & Van Compernolle (investment fund).

Eddy holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and BBA from Thammasat University.

Kanchit is a Co-Founder & Partner of Koontree. He has over 30 years of experience investing and advising leading Thai businesses across industry sectors. 

Prior to founding Koontree, he was a senior leader at the private equity firm Lombard, where had led many successful investments such as Central Pattana Plc, Robinson Plc, Prueksa Real Estate. He started his career as an investment banker and was the Head of Financial Institutions Group and M&A Team at Merrill Lynch Phatra. 

Kanchit currently serves as independent director on a number of publicly listed companies including, Central Retail Corporation Plc (Chairman of the Risk Policy Committee), KCE Electronics Plc (Chairman of Enterprise Risk Policy Committee, Nomination & Remuneration Committee), Bluebik Plc (Chairman of the Risk Policy Committee, Member of Nomination & Remuneration Committee), and CardX (Independent director & Audit Committee Member).

He is a board member of the Thai Listed Companies Association, where he regularly taught and advised SME entrepreneurs at the Center for Building Competitive Enterprise (CBCE).

Kanchit had previously served on the board of Central Pattana Plc, Robinson Plc, Pruksa Real Estate Plc, Zen Corporation Group Plc., and Aksorn Education.  

Kanchit holds an MBA from Sasin School of Management, and B.Eng in Civil Engineering from Chulalongkorn University. 

Pakorn Kasemtanakul is a Co-Founder & Partner at Koon Tree Holdings Company Limited.  He has over 20 years of experience in financial advisory and investment businesses.  

Prior to Koon Tree, Pakorn was Managing Director of Direct Investment, Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group.  He joined Direct Investment since 2005 and was responsible for leading the team for principal investment of the group in both listed and private equity.  During his years with Direct Investment, he not only covered investment in Thailand, but also spearheaded the group for its capital deployment in Vietnam and ASEAN market.  He also kick-started the private equity investment business for the group in both minority growth capital and leveraged buy-out transactions.

Prior to leading Direct Investment, Pakorn was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch Phatra in Bangkok where he advised Thai corporates on M&A and fund raising of various companies in telecom, technology, financials and manufacturing sectors.

In addition to Koon Tree, Pakorn is currently advisor to Kiatnakin Phatra Financial Group on its investment in Vietnam and also member of the group’s Investment Committee.  He also serves as director of Complete Solutions Holding Company Limited, the holding company of IFS Facilities Services, a leading facility management service provider in Thailand.

Pakorn holds an MBA from Kellogg School of Management and BBA from Thammasat University.
